Malcolm and Steven Smith hosted a “Shark Tank” style competition with 500 Startups in which the under-served Bay Area Youth and startup founders teamed up to see who can best pitch their company. Our celebrity judge included Malcolm Smith, Steven Smith, Oakland Raiders Khalil Mack, FAST Company’s Henry McCracken and 500 Startups Andrea Barrica.
Smith and his brother, former NFL WR Steve Smith, founded The Smith Bros. P.L.A.Y. Foundation (Practice Listen Apply Yourself) as a non-profit organization that aims to make a positive impact on youth through education and sports. In 2015, the brothers held their first youth football camp and family fun carnival at their alma mater, Taft High School in Woodland Hills, CA.
