Lucas Niang was born on August 19, 1998 in New Canaan, Connecticut. He is an offensive tackle in the NFL.

When Niang was 4 years old, he lived in Switzerland for 2 years. After coming back to the US, his family moved to New Canaan, CT. During his time at New Canaan high school, he played both ways on the line while helping his teams win 3 straight championships. He was a two time All-FCIAC selection as a Junior and Senior. He decided to play football at TCU.

During his freshman season, saw action in 12 of the 13 games. He got into the starting lineup halfway through his sophomore year. His junior year is when Niang had a standout year. Starting in every game, he did not allow a sack the entire season. Unfortunately, he got injured his senior season and was not able to finish the season. Being considered one of the best offensive lineman going into his senior season, the injury made him slip to the 3rd round of the 2020 NFL draft. He sat out the 2020 season due to Covid-19.
