BIOGRAPHY
Linden Stephens was born March 21, 1995, in Euclid, Ohio. He is an American football cornerback in the (NFL).
Stephens joined UC after a year at Fork Union Military Academy, he got an honorable mention on the 2012 Associated Press Ohio Northeastern Lakes All-District selection as a senior at Euclid HS. He finished with 43 tackles and five interceptions as a junior, and played in the 2013 OHSFCA North-South Classic and 2013 Cuyahoga County All-Star Football Game.
At 2014 on his freshman year, he played in all 13 games, recorded 19 tackles and one interception, broke-up four passes and recorded his first career interception in the win over USF (10/24). On 2015, he played in all 12 games on the season, making 33 tackles and a pair of interceptions: Had three tackles at Memphis, made three tackles in win over Miami (Fla.), recorded five tackles, one for a loss, and an interception against UCF, made six tackles at Houston, while forcing a fumble, had three tackles and an interception at USF and posted six tackles, all solo, at East Carolina.
During his junior season on 2016, Stephens played in all 12 games, making a pair of starts and seeing extensive special teams action. He set a career mark with his 36 total tackles, his seven PBUs led the Bearcats and his nine passes defended was second on the team. He hauled in two interceptions, one against UT Martin and one at UConn, opened the season with a career high seven tackles against UT Martin, tallied five stops and a career best two pass break ups against USF and finished with four tackles against Houston, BYU and Memphis.
On his senior year, he started all 12 games in 2017 and tallied 21 career starts. His 51 tackles ranked among the Bearcats' top seven on the season, including 31 solo stops, a team-high eight pass break ups and an interception. In 50 career games, Stephens hauled in six interceptions defended 26 passes, made 140 tackles and forced a fumble. He hit a number of career milestones in 2017, recording a career-best eight tackles and a 39-yard interception return against SMU and a career-high four PBUs at Miami (Ohio). Stephens earned a bachelor's degree in substance abuse counseling in December 2017. He played in the East-West Shrine Game.
Stephens signed a contract with New Orleans on May 2, 2018. And waived August 31, 2018. On October 3, 2018, he signed to the practice squad by Los Angeles (LA), and on November 21, 2018, Stephens signed to the practice squad by Denver, later on, at January 1, 2019, he signed a reserve/future contract with Denver.
