BIOGRAPHY
K.C. McDermott was born on April 18, 1996, in Wellington, Florida. He is a tackle for the Jacksonville Jaguars in the NFL. McDermott attended Palm Beach Central high school and played college football at Miami.
During high school, McDermott was named 2013 second-team All-USA by USA TODAY, was invited to “The Opening”, all-star summer prospect camp held on Nike Campus, was first-team all-state selection as junior and 2014 All-American selection by 247Sports.
McDermott played football for Miami from 2014 to 2017. In 2014 McDermott participated in spring drills, he made career debut against FAMU and played against Nebraska, mainly on special teams. In 2015 he started final eight games of season - six at left guard and two at right tackle, he helped lead team to No. 27 national ranking in passing offense (281.9 yards) in regular season. As a junior McDermott served as starting offensive lineman for all 13 games - nine at left guard and final four at left tackle, he started season opener against Florida A&M (Sept. 3) at left guard, helping lead offense to 373 rushing yards and 523 total yards of offense, he made second straight start of season at left guard against FAU (Sept. 10) and helped lead offense to 470-yard performance, including 279 rushing yards. In 2017 McDermott served as one of Miami's top offensive linemen in final season, starting all 13 games at final tackle, he started final 34 games of career on offensive line, he started at left tackle in win at Duke (Sept. 29), where Miami piled up 409 yards of offense.
The Jacksonville Jaguars signed McDermott to a two-year contract.
