Justin Reid

BIOGRAPHY

Justin Quintin Reid was born on February 15th, 1997, in Prairieville, Louisiana, and currently plays safety in the NFL. Reid attended Dutchtown High School and played college football at Stanford University.

During high school, Reid was the nation’s eighth-best safety by 247Sports, 21st by Scout, 47th by Rivals and PrepStar. He was Louisiana’s 10th-best recruit by 247Sports, 14th by Scout, 33rd by Rivals and PrepStar.

Reid played for the Stanford University football team from 2014 to 2017. In 2014 Reid played 12 games, and he made 23 tackles during the season. In 2015 Reid was an All-Pac-12 honorable mention and Pac-12 All-Academic honorable mention. He played 13 games during the season. In 2017 Reid made 99 tackles (52 solos), 6.5 tackles for loss, 1.0 sack, five interceptions, and six pass breakups. He was FWAA All-America second team (defensive back), AP All-America second team (safety), All-Pac-12 first team, and Pac-12 All-Academic second team.

The Houston Texans selected Reid in the third round (68th overall) of the 2018 NFL Draft. On June 10, 2018, the Houston Texans signed Reid to a four-year contract.

In 2022, he signed a three-year deal with the Kansas City Chiefs.

In Reid's first season with the team, he helped the Chiefs win Super Bowl LVII over the Philadelphia Eagles 38-35 to give Reid his first Super Bowl ring. In the Super Bowl, Reid recorded 7 tackles.
