BIOGRAPHY
Josh Jacobs was born on February 11th, 1997, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He is a running back in the National Football League.
Jacobs attended McClain High School where he played football and was ranked as a four-star prospect and the No. 2 player in Oklahoma. In total, he rushed for 5,372 yards and 56 touchdowns in his career at McLain. As a senior, Jacobs ran for 2,704 yards on 179 carries with 31 rushing touchdowns, while averaging 245.8 yards per game. He earned first-team All-State honors by the Oklahoma Coaches Association and OKPreps.com. He had multiple offers from Division I schools but signed with the University of Alabama on February 3rd, 2016.
Jacobs played three years at Alabama from 2016 until 2018 appearing in 42 games. He totaled 1,491 rushing yards on 251 rushes with 16 touchdowns, adding 48 receptions for 571 yards and five touchdowns. Jacobs also recorded 18 kickoff returns for 514 yards with one TD, ranking third in school history with an average of 28.6 yards. As a junior, he was named 2018 MVP of the SEC Championship Game, a two-time SEC Champion, and helped his team win a 2017 CFP National Championship in 2017.
Josh Jacobs was selected in the first round by the Oakland Raiders with the 24th overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft. He signed his four-year rookie contract with the team on July 9th, 2019. In his rookie debut, Jacobs rushed for 85 yards on 23 attempts and two touchdowns. In 2020, he finished with 1,065 yards on 273 carries and 12 touchdowns.
Josh Jacobs was selected to his 2nd Pro Bowl in 2023.
Jacobs signed a 4-year deal with the Packers starting in 2024.
