BIOGRAPHY
Jordan Hicks was born on June 27th, 1992 in Colorado Springs, Colorado. He is a Linebacker in the NFL.
Jordan attended Lakota West High School and played college football at the university of Texas. During high school, Jordan was a prep All-American, two-time first-team all-state, all-county and all-district selection at linebacker and a three-year starter who was named to PARADE’s All-America High School Football Team, he was named PARADE’s top linebacker in the nation, earned first-team All-USA honors by USA Today, Jordan was Gatorade’s Ohio high school football Player of the Year and he was ranked as the best outside linebacker and fourth-best overall prospect by ESPNU and ranked the best linebacker and 16th-best overall prospect by Rivals.
Jordan played for the university of Texas football team from 2010 to 2014. As a freshman he appeared in all 12 games, including eight games at linebacker and 12 on special teams, he was named honorable mention Big 12 Defensive Freshman of the Year by the league’s coaches and posted 23 tackles (nine solo), one sack, one TFL and one pressure. As a sophomore he appeared in all 13 games with eight starts, he was ranked sixth on the team in tackles (65), posted eight tackles, two tackles for loss, one sack and one PBU while helping the defense hold California to 7 rushing yards and 195 yards of total offense in the 2011 Holiday Bowl and in his first career start, posted five tackles (three solo) and two PBUs in the season-opener against Rice. As a senior Jordan started at weakside linebacker in all 13 games, was a second-team All-America selection by the Walter Camp Football Foundation and the Football Writers Associatoin of America (FWAA).
The Philadelphia Eagles selected Hicks in the third round (84th overall) of the 2015 NFL Draft. He was the ninth linebacker selected in 2015. On May 14, 2015, the Philadelphia Eagles signed Hicks to a four-year contract. He made his professional regular season debut in the Philadelphia Eagles' season-opening against Atlanta Falcons.
Jordan Hicks has played for multiple teams throughout his NFL journey and is currently playing for the Arizona Cardinals in the NFL.
On March 15, 2019, the Arizona Cardinals signed Alonso to a four-year contract. On March 15, 2022, Hicks signed a two-year contract with the Minnesota Vikings.
