Jordan Berry

BIOGRAPHY

Jordan Berry was born on March 18th, 1991 in Essendon, Victoria, Australia. He is a punter for the Pittsburgh Steelers in the NFL. 

He attended Melbourne High School in South Yarra, Victoria, Australia. He played club American football for the Western Crusaders in 2008 and was a starter on the Australian national team for the 2009 Junior World Championship of American Football qualifier against New Zealand. He played Australian football in 2007 and 2008 for Melbourne High, Aberfeldie Football Club, and Calder Cannons Football Club.

 Jordan Berry enrolled at Eastern Kentucky on September 15th, 2009. He was named All-OVC and to the OVC’s All-Newcomer team in 2010, Special Teams Player of the Year, and first-team All-OVC in 2011. He led the conference in punts inside the 20-yard line (19) in 2012 and registered a career-best and set the single-season school record with a 43.8 yards per punt average, in addition to connecting on a career-long punt of 77 yards in 2013. 

Berry was signed by the Pittsburgh Steelers on April 14, 2015. After a preseason in which he punted 19 times for an average of 49.8 yards per punt, the Steelers traded incumbent punter Brad Wing to the New York Giants, thus signaling Berry's victory in the position battle. On February 1, 2018, Berry, who was due to become a restricted free agent, signed a one-year contract extension with the Steelers. On March 13, 2019, Berry signed a two-year contract extension with the Steelers.
