BIOGRAPHY

John Cominsky was born on November 22nd, 1995, in Barberton, Ohio. He is a defensive end in the National Football League.

Cominsky attended Barberton High School and played as a  receiver turned quarterback and defensive back. In his senior year, he was named second-team all-district defensive back.

Cominsky went on to the University of Charleston. In his sophomore year, he earned second-team All-Mountain East honors. During his junior campaign, he became first-team all-league pick with 23 tackles for loss, 6.5 sacks, and 73 total stops. In 2018, Cominsky was named the Mountain East Defensive Player of the Year. 

In the 2019 NFL Draft, Cominksy was drafted by the Atlanta Falcons in the fourth round (135th overall). On March 14, 2022, Cominksy signed a two year contract with the Detroit Lions.
