BIOGRAPHY
Jeff Driskel was born on April 23rd, 1993, in Oviedo, Florida. He is a quarterback in the National Football League.
Driskel played college football at the University of Florida. In 2011 Driskel saw action in five games as a true freshman quarterback. He completed 16-of-34 passes for 148 yards to own a 71.86 efficiency rating throughout his freshman campaign. Driskel had a 31-yard run, the longest rush against the Crimson Tide in 2011. He played the entire second half at Auburn, throwing a season-long 22-yard pass to Chris Rainey on the last drive of the game. He also made his Gator debut in the season opener against FAU and his SEC debut against Kentucky.
In 2012 Driskel started 12 games for the Gators, 11 at quarterback. He completed 156-of-245 passes for 1,646 yards with 12 touchdowns and five interceptions on the year and Threw a 75-yard touchdown pass to Frankie Hammond at Tennessee for the longest pass of his career. Driskel had a passer rating of 195.0 in Knoxville. It was the highest for a UF quarterback on the road in a conference game since 2007. In 2013, he threw for 477 yards completing 42-of-63 passes in his limited action and had career-highs of attempts, completions, and passing yards at Miami in week two.
In 2014 Driskel played in nine games and made six starts at quarterback. He threw for 1,140 yards with nine touchdowns on the season. He threw for a career-high 295 yards with three touchdowns in the win over Kentucky, completed a career-high 31 passes in the season opener against Eastern Michigan, and earned the President's Academic Award for his work in the classroom.
The San Francisco 49ers selected Driskel in the sixth round of the 2016 NFL Draft. The Cincinnati Bengals later claimed Driskel on September 4, 2016. He began the season as the Bengals' third quarterback on their depth chart. Driskel Driskel made his regular-season NFL debut on October 21, 2018, in relief of Andy Dalton in the game against the Kansas City Chiefs.
Driskel joined the Arizona Cardinals in 2023.
