BIOGRAPHY

Jerald Christopher Jackson was born on November 17, 1995, in Immokalee, Florida. He is a cornerback in the NFL.

He played college football for the Maryland Terrapins. He was a two-way player at wide receiver and defensive back who helped lead Immokalee to an FHSAA Class 5A semifinal appearance as a senior. 

Following the 2017 NCAA football season, Jackson declared for the 2018 NFL Draft and participated in the 2018 NFL Scouting Combine. Jackson made the 53-man roster as a rookie free agent and appeared in 15 regular-season games with five starts. He totaled 24 tackles and finished tied for second on the team with three interceptions. Jackson made his NFL debut as a reserve defensive back and tallied one tackle in the game in Detroit.  In 2019, Jackson contributed on defense with one tackle in the season-opening victory against Pittsburgh Steelers.

On March 17, 2021, the Patriots assigned a second-round restricted free agent tender worth $3.384 million on Jackson.

On March 14, 2021, he signed a five-year deal with the Chargers.
