BIOGRAPHY
Folorunso Ifeyinka Fatukasi was born on March 4, 1995, in Far Rockaway, New York. He is a nose tackle for the New York Jets of the NFL.
At high school, Fatukasi had 78 tackles as a senior with ten sacks, was named Second Team All-Queens/Long Island by the New York Daily News as a senior, played in Empire Challenge All-Star Game (June 18), the team reached PSAL Bowl Division finals in sophomore year and was 6-3 in junior year, was limited to just two games in junior year because of injury and was the first player from Beach Channel High School to go directly to a FBS school.
During first year of college in 2013, he redshirted, but on 2014, Fatukasi played in all 12 games on the defensive line, starting three at defensive tackle, posting 31 tackles with 3.0 tackles for loss, having three tackles, including one for loss, at USF (Sept. 19), recorded four tackles and 0.5 TFL at No. 18 East Carolina (Oct. 23), notched four solo tackles at Army (Nov. 8) and capped the year with a season-high five tackles vs. SMU (Dec. 6).
For the 2015 season, he got an All-American Athletic Conference honorable mention, he emerged as a standout on the Husky defensive line this year with stars in 11 of 13 games, has now played 24 games over the past two seasons with 14 starts, had 50 tackles on the season, which was sixth on the team, led the team with eight tackles for a loss and was third in sacks with seven, forced four fumbles, tied a career-high with seven tackles vs. Marshall (Dec. 26) in St. Petersburg Bowl, had a sack in that game, had seven tackles at BYU (Oct. 2), had six tackles in wins over Villanova (Sept. 3) and East Carolina (Oct. 30) and had a pair of sacks in Villanova game.
On the course of 2016, Fatukasi started all 12 games at defensive tackle, completed the season with 43 tackles, 2.5 tackles for loss, three sacks, four quarterback hurries and a blocked kick and set a new career-high with 10 tackles and recorded a sack at ECU (Oct. 29).
Fatukasi was drafted by the New York Jets in the sixth round (180th overall) of the 2018 NFL Draft. During his rookie year in 2018, Fatukasi appeared in one game, but did not record any stats.
