Eli Ankou

BIOGRAPHY

Eli Ankou was born on June 8th, 1994, in Ottawa, Ontario. He is a nose tackle in the National Football League.

Ankou attended Red Lion Christian Academy where he was A three-star recruit according to rivals.com and the No. 27 strong-side defensive end in the nation; he played for coach Dwayne Thomas. He played college football for the Bruins at the University of California, Los Angeles; he did not see game action in his first season in the program. In 2013 he was credited with one tackle on the season in his three games played. In 2014 he saw action in all 13 games as a reserve on the defensive line and in special teams units and was credited with five tackles and 1.0 tackles for loss. In 2015 he saw action in all 13 games and made 11 starts and entered the starting lineup. He finished ninth in the team with 47 tackles and Ranked tied for fourth on the team with 5.0 tackles for loss.

In 2016 he appeared in 10 games and made eight starts along the defensive front and ranked eighth on the team in tackles with 38. The Houston Texans signed Ankou as an undrafted free agent on May 12, 2017.

On September 3, 2017, he was claimed off waivers by the Jacksonville Jaguars; he saw action in 9 games during that season with the jaguars. Ankou was signed by the Clevland Browns off the Jaguars' practice squad on October 22, 2019. In 2021 he was signed by the Atlanta Falcons.
