BIOGRAPHY
Dante Fowler Jr. was born on August 3rd, 1994 in St. Petersburg, Florida. He is an outside linebacker in the National Football League.
Fowler attended Lakewood High School in St. Petersburg, Florida, where he was a two-sport star in football and track. Fowler was named an honorable mention to the Sports Illustrated All-American football team following his senior season and was selected to the 2012 Under Armour All-America Game.
Fowler attended the University of Florida from 2012 to 2014. During his freshman year of college, Fowler moved to the outside linebacker position. Fowler played in all 13 games and started his first game against Missouri. He played in 37 games with 25 starts and his career totals include 140 tackles (73 solo), 34 tackles for loss, 14.5 sacks, five forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries, and two passes defensed. Fowler started the final 24 games of his career and served as a team captain his junior season and two games as a sophomore.
Dante Fowler Jr. was selected in the first round by the Jacksonville Jaguars with the 3rd overall pick in the 2017 NFL Draft. After being out for his entire rookie year due to an ACL injury, Fowler finally made his debut on September 11, 2016. He logged three tackles (one for a loss) as the Jaguars lost the game 27–23. He ended his first official season playing in all 16 games with one start, recording 32 tackles, 4.0 sacks, and five passes defended. Fowler was traded to the Rams on October 30th, 2018. He enters his Fifth-year as a pro and has appeared in 47 regular-season games with seven starts in addition to six postseason games. He has registered 80 career tackles (62 solo), 16.0 sacks, four forced fumbles, and four fumble recoveries. He also set a career-high in sacks in 2017 with 8. He hit the free agency market in 2020 and was signed by the Atlanta Falcons.
Fowler signed with the Dallas Cowboys in 2023.
