BIOGRAPHY
Dan Skipper was born on September 20, 1994, in Arvada, Colorado, and currently plays offensive tackle for the New England Patriots in the NFL. Skipper attended Ralston Valley High School and played college football at the University of Arkansas.
During high school, Skipper was rated as the No. 32 offensive tackle in the country by Scout, the No. 4 prospect in Colorado and the No. 46 offensive tackle in the country by Rivals, and the state’s No. 5 prospect and the country’s 47th offensive tackle by 247Sports, he earned 5A all-state recognition as a senior.
Skipper played for the University of Arkansas football team from 2013 to 2016. In 2013 Skipper played in all 12 games and started the last eight at offensive guard and blocked a school-record three field-goal attempts, he was named a Freshman All-American after blocking as Alex Collins became the second freshman in school history and 10th true freshman in SEC history to rush for 1,000 yards. In 2014 Skipper appeared and started in all 13 contests at left tackle, participated in more than 700 snaps and recorded a blocked kick, he led the offensive line with a grade of 80 percent in more than 50 snaps. In 2015 he started all 13 games at right tackle, he finished second on the team with an 83 percent offensive grade over 900 snaps and earned an 80 percent grade or better in a team-best 12 games, including the final seven. In 2016 Skipper started all 13 games at left tackles, served as a team captain, and was one of three players to be named SEC Lineman of the Week twice.
On May 16, 2017, the Dallas Cowboys signed Skipper as an undrafted free agent. On September 3, 2017, the Cowboys signed him to the practice squad. On September 25, 2017, Skipper was signed to the Detroit Lions' practice squad. On November 27, 2018, Skipper was signed to the Denver Broncos practice squad.
Dan Skipper has played for multiple teams throughout his NFL journey and is currently playing for the New England Patriots in the NFL. On September 1st, 2019, Skipper was signed to the practice squad.
