BIOGRAPHY
Coleman Shelton was born on July 28th, 1995, in Pasadena, California. He is a center in the National Football League.
At high school, Shelton played on the offensive and defensive lines at Loyola, earning All-Serra League as a junior and senior. As a junior, he helped lead the Cubs to an 8-3 record and a trip to the CIF Southern Section Pac-5 playoffs, getting named a top offensive lineman in the area by the Los Angeles Times prior to junior and senior seasons and rated the nation's No. 19 center prospect by rivals.com.
During his first year on college, in 2013, Shelton did not see any game action as a true freshman, preserving a year of eligibility. For the 2014 season, he played in 13 games, starting seven, all at right tackle. By 2015, he started all 13 games on the offensive line, starting the first two games of the season at left tackle. He won the UW's John P. Angel Lineman of the Year award at the team's awards ceremony.
On the 2016 season, Coleman started all 14 games of the season at center, getting named second-team All-Pac-12 and honorable mention Academic All-Pac-12, and the team's lineman of the week for the Rutgers game and also after the win over Colorado in the Pac-12 Championship game. For the 2017 season, Shelton started all 13 games at center, getting named first-team All-Pac-12 and also earned Academic All-Pac-12 honorable mention. He got named the Husky coaches' lineman of the game for the win over Montana and won the coaches' lineman of the game for the 38-3 victory over Oregon. He also earned the coaches' lineman of the game award in the Apple Cup victory over Washington State and was named to the spring watch list for the Rimington Trophy, given annually to the nation's top center. Coleman won both the John P. Angel Lineman of the Year and Academic Achievement Award at the UW postseason awards banquet.
Coleman was originally signed by the San Francisco 49ers, and played with the Arizona Cardinals. Shelton was signed by the Los Angeles Rams on September 2, 2019. Coleman made his NFL debut on September 22, 2019 against the Clevland Browns.

After the season the Rams tendered Shelton to a one-year contract as an exclusive-rights free agent. He signed the tender on April 27, 2020. He was given another exclusive-rights tender by the Rams on March 4, 2021.
On March 14, 2022, Shelton signed a two-year contract extension with the Rams. He was placed on injured reserve on October 8, 2022. He was designated to return from injured reserve on November 9, 2022. He was activated from injured reserve three days later.
On March 15, 2023, Shelton re-signed with the Los Angeles Rams.
