BIOGRAPHY
Christian Kirk was born on November 18, 1996, in Scottsdale, Arizona. He is a wide receiver in the NFL.
Kirk attended Saguaro High School in Scottsdale, Arizona, where he played high school football. He played both wide receiver and running back for the Sabercats. He gained over 3,000 all-purpose yards as a senior and 2,000 as a junior. Kirk was rated by Rivals.com as a five-star recruit and was ranked among the top overall prospects in his class. He committed to Texas A&M University to play college football.
In college during his three seasons at Texas A&M, started 36 of 39 games played and totaled 234 receptions for 2,856 yards and 26 TDs receiving, 23 rushing attempts for 120 yards, 48 kickoff returns for 1,048 yards and a TD, and 37 punt returns for 814 yards and six TDs … three-year total added up to 4,838 all-purpose yards and 33 total TDs … despite playing just three seasons, fell just 29 receptions shy of breaking the SEC all-time receptions record (262 by Jordan Matthews) and 19 receptions shy of breaking the Aggies career receptions record (252 by Ryan Swope) … earned first-team All-SEC honors as a return man and as an all-purpose player in both 2016 and 2017 … also added first-team All-SEC honors as a WR in 2016 … left Texas A&M as the NCAA’s career active leader in punt return average (22.0) and punt return TDs (6) … his six career punt return TDs doubled the previous school career record … averaged a TD every 6.2 punt returns during his career … against New Mexico State in 2016, became the first player in A&M history with two punt return TDs in a game … only player in Texas A&M history to post consecutive seasons with 80+ receptions, doing so with 80 catches in 2015 and 83 receptions in 2016 … led the Aggies in receptions in both of those seasons and led the SEC in receptions in 2016.
Kirk was drafted by the Arizona Cardinals in the second round (47th overall) of the 2018 NFL Draft. He was the fifth wide receiver to be selected that year. In the Cardinals' season-opening loss to the Washington Redskins, Kirk had a four-yard reception to go along with two punt returns for 44 net yards in his NFL debut. In Week 3, he recorded a solid game with seven receptions for 90 yards in the 16–14 loss to the Chicago Bears. In Week 5 against the San Francisco 49ers, he caught a 75-yard touchdown bomb from fellow rookie Josh Rosen to help the Cardinals earn their first win of the season by a score of 28–18. He played in 12 games, starting seven, recording 43 receptions for 590 yards and three touchdowns. He suffered a broken foot in Week 13 and was placed on injured reserve on December 3, 2018.
Kirk entered the 2021 season third on the Cardinals wide receiver depth chart. He finished the season as the Cardinals leading receiver with a career-high 77 catches for 982 yards and five touchdowns.
In March 2022, he signed a four-year deal with the Jacksonville Jaguars.
