Chris Westry was born on July 10th, 1997, in Orange Park, Florida. He is a cornerback in the NFL. Westry attended Oakleaf High School and played college football at the University of Kentucky.

During high school, Westry was named Times-Union’s 2014 All-First Coast honorable mention, he had 34 total tackles his senior season with one interception, 12 passes defended, and blocked two field goals.

Westry played for the University of Kentucky football team from 2015 to 2018. In 2015, Westry started all 12 games at cornerback as a true freshman. He broke-up a team-leading eight passes, finishing with 36 tackles, 1.5 tackles for a loss, one sack and two interceptions, adding a QB hurry. In 2016, Westry had three career interceptions after grabbing one in 2016 vs. Austin Peay and racked up a career-high seven tackles in the win over Mississippi State. In 2017, Westry saw action in all 13 games with eight starts. He forced a fumble at Southern Miss and totaled 34 tackles with two PBUs. In 2018, Westry played in all 13 games. He had 21 tackles, a sack, and two PBU in 13 games. He got his first sack of the season in the Senior Day win over MTSU and recorded a season-high five tackles in his first starting assignment of the season vs. Georgia.

The Dallas Cowboys signed Westry to a three-year contract on April 27, 2019.
