BIOGRAPHY
Chandler Brewer was born on June 12th, 1997, in Florence, Alabama. He plays guard for the Los Angeles Rams in the NFL. In his early years, Brewer attended Florence High School where he helped lead Florence High School to an 11-3 record and a spot in the semifinals of the state championship his senior year while earning second-team all-state honors by the ASWA. He was also a first-team all-region in 6A and he earned honorable mention all-state recognition as a junior. He also garnered first-team all-region and all-county honors in 2012 and 2013.
After he finished high school, Brewer committed to the University of Middle Tennessee State where as a freshman in 2015, he was named to the All-C-USA Freshman Team. He played in all 13 games and had 11 starts and ranked third among linemen with 875 snaps played, including a season-best 92 against Jackson State. He was integral in the Blue Raider offense setting single-season records in total offense, scoring, and passing yards while helping produce the first 4,000-yard passer and two 1,000-yard receivers in the same season for the first time in school history. As a sophomore in 2016, Brewer was named Honorable Mention All-C-USA, was named Third Team All-C-USA by Phil Steele, and was earned the Offensive Lineman Grinder award in the spring. He played and started all 13 games and was part of an offensive line that had the most pass attempts in C-USA and the fewest sacks allowed. He was an integral part of an offense that produced a 1,000-yard rusher, 1,000-yard receiver and set single-season records in points, touchdowns and total yards and he was in on 980 snaps which were second among linemen. He played 80 or more snaps seven times and he played a season-high 88 snaps against Vanderbilt. As a junior in 2017, Brewer was named Honorable Mention All-C-USA and he was a permanent team captain. He played and started in 12 games at right guard and earned the Offensive Lineman Grinder award in the spring. He averaged 67.5 snaps a game and had six games with 70 or more snaps. In his senior year in 2018, Brewer earned First Team All-C-USA honors. He started all 14 games averaging 67.0 snaps per game. He graded out a winner in all 14 games while allowing just two sacks in over 450 pass attempts and was voted the team’s Warrior of the Game against Vanderbilt and ODU while earning offensive lineman of the week award four times. Brewer was awarded C-USA Team of the Week as a guard by Pro Football Focus three times and was on the national team once, was named an Ironman Award winner for his effort in the weight room, was named Preseason All-C-USA, and earned the Offensive Lineman Grinder award in the spring.
After he graduated from college, Brewer entered the 2019 NFL Draft where he was signed by the Los Angeles Rams as an undrafted rookie free agent on March 14th, 2019.
Brewer signed with the Los Angeles Rams as an undrafted free agent on April 27, 2019. He was waived at the end of training camp during final roster cuts, but was re-signed by the Rams to their practice squad on September 1, 2019. He was promoted to the Rams active roster on November 13, 2019. Brewer made his NFL debut on November 17, 2019 against the Chicago Bears.
