Blake Bell

BIOGRAPHY

Blake Bell was born on August 7th, 1991, in Wichita, Kansas. He is a tight end in the NFL.

During high school, Bell as a senior in 2009, he threw for 2,752 yards with 32 touchdowns. He was ranked as the sixth-best pro-style quarterback recruit by Rivals.com.

Bell played football for Temple from 2010 to 2014. Bell was the backup quarterback inserted at Kansas State in a jumbo package designed for the bigger QB. He finished with five carries, seven yards, and one touchdown, Bell had 12 carries for 37 yards and two touchdowns vs. Texas A&M. He was named to Academic All-Big 12 First Team, Bell played in all 13 games and tied for the team lead and sixth in the Big 12 with 11 total touchdowns, his ten touchdowns in nine Big 12 games tied for seventh-most in the conference. Bell was the winner of Oklahoma's Bob Kalsu Award, he played in 12 of 13 games with starts in all of those contests at tight end except Tennessee, Texas, Kansas State and Oklahoma State, he set career-high with 59 receiving yards, including career-long of 47 yards, on two catches against Oklahoma State (12/6) and made the first start of career at tight end against Louisiana Tech (8/30).

The San Francisco 49ers selected Bell in the fourth round (117th overall) of the 2015 NFL Draft, on May 11, 2015, the 49ers signed him to a four-year contract. He made his professional regular-season debut in the San Francisco 49ers' season-opening 20-3 victory over the Minnesota Vikings.

Blake Bell has played for multiple teams throughout his NFL journey and is currently playing for the Kansas City Chiefs in the NFL. On April 2, 2019, the Kansas City Chiefs signed Bell to a one-year contract.

In the 2022 season, Bell recorded his first career receiving touchdown in the regular season in the Chiefs' Week 17 game against the Denver Broncos. Bell won his second Super Bowl when the Chiefs defeated the Eagles 38–35 in Super Bowl LVII.
