Bisi Johnson

BIOGRAPHY

Bisi Johnson was born on March 17th, 1997, in Wheat Ridge, Colorado. He plays wide receiver for the Minnesota Vikings in the NFL.

In his early years, Johnson attended Bear Creek High School where as a senior he earned 1st Team All-Colorado honors. He led the Bears rushing for 698 yards and nine touchdowns, and caught 25 passes for 402 yards and three touchdowns and was a team captain in 2013 and 2014. 

After he finished high school, Johnson committed to the University of Colorado where as a freshman in 2015, he appeared in all 13 games, earning one start, recording 2 receptions for 15 yards and a touchdown. On September 5th he made his collegiate debut where he scored a touchdown on his first career reception in the Rams' season-opening win over Savannah State. As a sophomore in 2016, Johnson played in all 13 games and started eight and ranked second on the team with 28 catches for 613 yards and four touchdowns while as a junior in 2017, he played in 12 games and started seven, recording 41 catches for 595 yards and two touchdowns. In his senior year in 2018, Johnson started all 11 games in which he played, recording a career-high 54 passes for 796 yards and four touchdowns, ranking second on the team behind only All-American Preston Williams. He notched three 100-yard games, including a season-high 157 yards, plus 2 TDs, in the season opener vs. Hawai'i on August 25th and was one of just 10 Rams all-time to have more than 2,000 receiving yards in a career and finished 10th in program history with 2,019 receiving yards on 125 receptions with 11 TDs in 49 career games. At the end of the season, Johnson was a preseason Lindy's All-MW second team, Phil Steele All-MW second team, Athlon All-MW third team, and Phil Steele All-MW fourth team as a punt returner.

After he graduated from college, Johnson entered the 2019 NFL Draft where he was selected in the seventh round by the Minnesota Vikings.
