BIOGRAPHY
Aaron Stinnie was born on February 18th, 1994, in Charlottesville, Virginia. He is an offensive guard in the NFL.
In his early years, Stinnie attended St. Anne's-Belfied High School where he played at both offensive and defensive sides of the ball. He had 45 total tackles where he had 21 solos along with eight tackles for loss, five sacks, two forced fumbles, and one fumble recovery. After his first season as a junior, he was named to the Second Team VISFA Old Dominion on defense while in his senior year, Stinnie earned First Team All-State VISAA Division 2 recognition at both offensive and defensive lineman. He was also named Second Team All-Central Virginia and Second Team All-ODFC as a defensive lineman.
After he finished high school, Stinnie committed to the University of James Madison where as a redshirted freshman in 2014, he played in 12 games where he had 11 total tackles, including six solo tackles, to go with 1.5 tackles for loss, 1.5 sacks, and a quarterback hurry. As a redshirted sophomore in 2015, Stinnie started all 12 games and was part of an offensive line that ranked second nationally in FCS in scoring with 44.3 and total offense with 528.8. His offense led the nation on third-down conversions with 54%, while also ranking third in first down offense with 329, fourth in completion percentage with 66.9%, seventh in rushing offense with 273.8 and ninth in red-zone offense with 89.4%. As a redshirted junior in 2016, Stinnie started all 15 games at left tackle. He was a HERO Sports FCS Second Team All-American, a First Team All-CAA Offensive Lineman, an ECAC First Team All-Star, a VaSID First Team All-State, and a Roanoke Times Second Team All-State. He was part of an offensive line that set JMU and CAA single-season records in scoring with 700, rushing offense with 4,125, total offense with 7,612 and first downs with 380 and that led the FCS in completion percentage with 70.8%, team pass efficiency with 181.69 and first downs. They also ranked second in scoring with 46.7, third in total offense with 507.5, fourth in third-down conversions with 50%, fifth in rushing with 275.0 and 10th in turnovers lost with 13. By the end of the season, Stinnie was named JMU's Offensive Lineman of the Year. In his redshirted senior year in 2017, Stinnie started all 15 games at left tackle as a team captain. He was part of an offensive line that helped JMU lead the CAA and rank 15th nationally in scoring with 34.4 and that also ranked third in first downs with 325, ninth in completion percentage with 64.9, 22nd in pass efficiency with 142.46 rating, 25th in rushing with 194.3, and 30th in total offense with 419.0.
After he graduated from college, Stinnie entered the 2018 NFL Draft where he was signed by the Tennessee Titans as an undrafted free agent on May 11th. After he made the final 53-man roster out of training camp, Stinnie made his NFL debut and only appearance on October 21st against the Los Angeles Chargers. On August 31st, 2019, Stinnie was waived by the Titans and was signed to the practice squad the next day. On September 7th, he was promoted to the active roster before the season began.
On March 13, 2022, Stinnie re-signed with the Buccaneers. He suffered a torn ACL in the preseason and was placed on injured reserve on August 22, 2022.
On March 15, 2023, Stinnie re-signed with the Buccaneers.
