Romeo Langford was born on October 25, 1999, in New Albany, Indiana. He is a shooting guard in the NBA.

Langford began his career playing prep basketball at New Albany High School in New Albany, Indiana. In his sophomore year, he averaged 30.2 points, 9.0 rebounds, and 3.0 assists per game while leading New Albany to a 27–1 record and a class 4A state championship. In his junior year, he averaged 28.7 points, 8.9 rebounds, and 3.4 assists per game, leading New Albany to a 25–4 record and to the class 4A state quarterfinals. In his senior season, Langford was named Gatorade Indiana Player of the Year, Mr. Basketball Indiana, as well as being named a McDonalds All-American and to the Jordan Brand Classic. 

Langford would commit to playing colleigate basketball at Indiana University. As a Hoosier, Langford averaged 16.5 points per game, the highest among Big Ten freshmen and the third highest all-time among Indiana University freshmen, behind Eric Gordon and Mike Woodson. After his freshmen season, Langford would enter the 2019 NBA Draft. 

In the first round of the 2019 NBA Draft, with the 14th overall selection, the Boston Celtics selected Langford. 

He played for the Celtics in the 2021 NBA summer league. On July 11, 2019, the Celtics announced that they had signed with Langford. Langford was assigned to the Maine Red Claws for the start of the NBA G League season.
