Lebron James Family Foundation
The LeBron James Family Foundation’s mission is to positively affect the lives of children and young adults through education and co-curricular educational initiatives. We believe that an education and living an active, healthy lifestyle is pivotal to the development of children and young adults.
I Promise School is a public elementary school in Akron, Ohio, opened in 2018, supported by the LeBron James Family Foundation, and specifically aimed at at-risk children. Opening with students attending grades three and four, the school will be fully operational by 2022, eventually teaching grades one through eight.
ONEXONE's mission is to improve the lives of children in North America, Haiti and around the world with programs dedicated to five fundamental pillars: water, health, education, play and food. On the season finale of the HBO hit show ‘Entourage’, NBA star LeBron James appeared as himself alongside Matt Damon as they hounded Vinnie (played by Adrian Grenier) to donate to Damon’s ONEXONE Foundation. During the last few minutes of the show, LeBron told Vinnie that he donated “$1 million” to the foundation.

Gabrielle’s Angel Foundation for Cancer Research was created in 1996, when Grammy-nominated songwriter and philanthropist Denise Rich lost her daughter Gabrielle, a vibrant 27-year-old actress and Hodgkin’s lymphoma survivor, to acute myelogenous leukaemia. Gabrielle’s mother and sisters, Daniella Rich Kilstock and Ilona Rich Schachter, believed the best way to honour Gabrielle’s memory was to create a Foundation that would fund the best and brightest scientific researchers with the hope that less toxic treatments, and ultimately a cure, might be discovered.
The mission of the Children’s Defense Fund is to Leave No Child Behind and to ensure every child a Healthy Start, a Head Start, a Fair Start, a Safe Start, and a Moral Start in life and successful passage to adulthood with the help of caring families and communities. CDF provides a strong, effective voice for all the children of America who cannot vote, lobby, or speak for themselves. We pay particular attention to the needs of poor and minority children and those with disabilities. CDF educates the nation about the needs of children and encourages preventive investment before they get sick or into trouble, drop out of school, or suffer family breakdown.
The Boys & Girls Club Organization is very important to LeBron James. When he was growing up he spent a lot of time at places like Boys & Girls Clubs. These safe havens were a home away from home for him. Boys and Girls Clubs are a great place for kids to learn and grow. His Foundation is a are proud partners of the BGCA!!!
After-School All-Stars is a national non-profit organization that partners with schools across the United States to expand the learning day for low-income children. It provides after-school programs. Currently, ASAS serves nearly 92,000 students on over 400 school sites in 14 regions across 10 states. Team LeBron won the 2018 All star game, and donated to the After-School All-Stars Los Angeles.
The Feeding America network is the nation’s largest domestic hunger-relief organization. Together with individuals, charities, businesses and government we can end hunger.
