THE JUSUF NURKIĆ FOUNDATION, A MEMBER OF THE GIVING BACK FUND FAMILY OF CHARITIES, SUPPORTS JUSUF AND EMINA’S DEDICATION TO MAKING A DIFFERENCE IN THE LIVES OF OTHERS. THE FOUNDATION IS COMMITTED AND DEDICATED TO CREATING SUSTAINABLE CHANGE TO IMPROVE THE LIVES OF YOUTH, WOMEN, AND THE BOSNIAN COMMUNITY BY PROVIDING ACCESS TO HEALTHCARE, EDUCATION, AND VARIOUS OTHER COMMUNITY RESOURCES. THE FOUNDATION CURRENTLY OPERATES IN PORTLAND, OREGON, BOSNIA AND HERZEGOVINA, AND OTHER COMMUNITIES THROUGHOUT THE WORLD.
WildCat Ridge Sanctuary provides a safe lifetime home for captive-born wildcats and other animals that have been rescued from abuse, neglect, and exploitation. We are a “last hope” refuge in beautiful Scotts Mills, Oregon. As a 501(c)3 nonprofit, we rely on donations to operate. Nurkic bought the Memisevic family a house after hearing what their family has gone through. Jasmina, the mother, lost her leg due to a land mine ten years ago and takes care of her eleven-year-old son Adin who suffers from a heart condition. Edvin, the father, is a day laborer working to support the family. They lived in an old house without running water, a bathroom, or any furniture. They were sleeping on the floor. After hearing their story, Jusuf contacted them with the idea of buying them a house. Everything happened lightning fast, and they got the keys to their new home at the beginning of this week/
