Brandon House CityWide Re-Up

Brandon House Cultural & Performed Arts Center hosted its 3rd annual City-Wide ReUp on February 22, 2020 at McClellan High School. This event targeted high school students in the community. Students received FREE school supplies and T-shirts; and engaged with college recruiters, tobacco prevention resources, workforce programs, and career readiness programs. We held an informative panel discussion entitled TARGETED. The panelists discussed how youth in community and nationally are being targeted educationally, judicially, and economically. The panelists also discussed upcoming changes that will and have taken effect in the Little Rock area and how our youth can come together as one. Lastly, the ReUp capped off the day’s activities with a 3-on-3 basketball tournament. A total of 8 energetic high school basketball students participated in the tournament. The ReUp is sponsored in part by the University of Arkansas Pine-Bluff in support of our Arts Over Tobacco Prevention Program and United Way. Brandon House would like to thank all who participated in the ReUp, including the students, parents, supporters, sponsors, volunteers, vendors, and staff members to help make this event a success. We can’t wait to see you all next year for our 4th annual ReUp event.
