Álvaro Medrán was born March 15, 1994, in Dos Torres, Spain. He is a midfielder in the MLS. 

Medrán began his career for Real Madrid, going through the club's academy and playing for the first team. While with Madrid, Medrán had a loan spell with Getafe. He then moved to Valencia, where he was loaned out to Alavés and Rayo Vallecano. In October 2019, Medrán was announced as a new signing by Major League Soccer side Chicago Fire ahead of the upcoming season. He made his debut the following 1 March, playing the full 90 minutes of a 2–1 loss at Seattle Sounders FC.
