Yacksel Rios was born June 27, 1993, in Caguas, Puerto Rico. He is a pitcher in the MLB.

He was drafted by the Philadelphia Phillies in the 12th round of the 2011 Major League Baseball draft. Ríos made his MLB debut for the Phillies in 2017 and has also played in MLB for the Pittsburgh Pirates and the Seattle Mariners.

On January 6, 2023, Ríos signed a minor league contract with the Atlanta Braves organization. In 21 appearances for the Triple–A Gwinnett Stripers, Ríos logged a pristine 1.46 ERA with 30 strikeouts and 7 saves across 24+2⁄3 innings.

On June 18, 2023, Ríos was traded to the Oakland Athletics in exchange for cash considerations. Two days later, Oakland selected Ríos to their major league roster.
