Cooper Hummel was born November 28, 1994, in Portland, Oregon. He is an outfielder in the MLB.

Hummel played college baseball at the University of Portland. He was drafted by the Milwaukee Brewers in the 18th round of the 2016 Major League Baseball Draft. On July 28, 2021, the Brewers traded Hummel and Alberto Ciprian to the Arizona Diamondbacks for Eduardo Escobar.

The Diamondbacks added Hummel to their 40-man roster for the 2021 season. 

Hummel made his MLB debut on Opening Day on April 7, 2022, as a pinch hitter for Jake McCarthy. In an April 10 game against the San Diego Padres, Hummel recorded his first career hit and home run off of Padres reliever Javy Guerra.

 Cooper Hummel was. traded to San Francisco in January of 2024.
