Andrew Knapp was born November 9, 1991, in Roseville, California. He is a catcher in the MLB.

He was drafted by the Phillies in the second round of the 2013 Major League Baseball draft. Knapp made his big league debut in 2017.

The Phillies added Knapp to their 40-man roster after the 2016 season. Knapp made the Phillies' 2017 Opening Day roster and spent the whole season there. For the season, he batted .257/.368/.368 with three home runs and 13 RBIs in 56 games (171 at-bats). Knapp hit the team’s first walk-off home run since 2016 on July 1, 2018, in the 13th inning against the Washington Nationals. In 2018, he batted .198/.294/.316 with 4 home runs and 15 RBIs.
